Piotr Walczyszyn
|
Piotr Walczyszyn is a Platform Evangelist for Adobe Systems responsible for messaging around the Adobe Platform technologies, including Adobbe Flash, Flex, and AIR.
Previously to Adobe, Piotr co-founded biggest social networking portal for lawyers community in Poland that is based on AJAX technologies and follows latest Web 2.0 trends. He also has a strong background in
enterprise architectures like JEE and .NET Framework. His broad knowledge of enterprise solutions comes
from years of work at ABB Corporate Research Center where he was managing software engineering
group responsible for building mission critical manufacturing execution systems.
Piotr received his Masters degree at Polish?Japanese Institute of Information Technology in the faculty of
Databases and Server Side Programming. X?icco an Open Source "XML Database Engine for Mobile
Devices" was his Masters thesis project. It was also his first but not last close contact and participation in
Open Source community. He also studied management and marketing at Leon Kozminski Academy of
Entrepreneurship and Management.
Piotr was born in Warsaw/Poland but currently shares leaving location between Warsaw and Cracow. He
spends his free time with family and friends, but also enjoys mountain baking, windsurfing and
snowboarding.

Building Flex applications with Java Google App Engine backends
Recently Google added Java support to their App Engine – cloud computing environment. It allows hosting Java web applications on Google infrastructure. During the session participants will learn how to build and host Rich Internet Applications based on Flex and AIR that integrate with Java Google App Engine.
